| Christchurch-based jeweller PENNY HUGHES trained in the UK, graduating with honours in Three-Dimensional Design, majoring in silversmithing. Since arriving in New Zealand in 1977, she has belonged to the Connexion Co-Operative and the Gefn Craft Co-operative in Christchurch and taught for some years on the Craft Design course at Christchurch Polytechnic. Penny is currently a self-employed silversmith. She has exhibited in galleries in New Zealand and Australia. |
